It was only in my late fifties that I finally began to truly enjoy wearing kimono.
I realized that the best way to improve my skills was simply to wear kimono and go out. So I started reaching out to people around me, inviting those who shared the same wish.
I discovered that many people of my generation also wanted to enjoy wearing kimono and going out together.

Through kimono, I also came to learn about Japanese culture and history.
During my school days, I had almost no interest in Japanese history or classical literature.
But thanks to kimono, I attended Noh, Kyogen, and Kabuki performances for the first time.
That is how I came to encounter the richness and beauty of traditional Japanese performing arts.
